Information We Collect

When you create an account and use DRVN.Golf, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your name
• Your profile picture (if provided or from Google sign-in)
• Golf performance data you submit (rounds, shots, drill scores)
• Location data for the rounds you record, including GPS coordinates of the shots and holes you track, which we use to map your play and calculate distances and performance statistics

Data Submitted on Behalf of Another Person

An account holder may submit data about a golfer other than themselves. By doing so, the account holder represents they have authority to submit that data and accepts responsibility for its accuracy and lawful use. DRVN.Golf applies the same privacy protections to this data as to data about the account holder.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your DRVN.Golf account
• To associate you with your golf team (if invited)
• To track your golf statistics and performance
• To send team-related notifications (with your consent)
• To display your activity to other users based on your sharing preferences

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate DRVN.Golf:

• Authentication: to sign you in and keep your session secure
• Functional preferences: to remember your settings, such as your selected program, reporting season, and display preferences
• Usage analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate, privacy-respecting usage of the service so we can improve it

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect core functionality such as staying signed in.

Drills and Social Features

If you activate DRVN.Golf Drills, additional data sharing occurs:

What We Collect

• Drill completion scores and timestamps
• Your display name, bio, and avatar (which you provide)
• Group memberships and challenge participation
• Who you follow and who follows you
• Kudos you give and receive

Who Can See Your Data

• Public profile: If enabled, anyone can see your display name, bio, and drill statistics
• Followers: Users who follow you can see activity you share with followers
• Groups: Group members can see activity you share with that group
• Challenges: Challenge participants can see your name and scores on leaderboards

Your Controls

• You choose your visibility settings for each piece of content you share
• You can make your profile private at any time
• You can leave groups and unfollow users at any time
• You can deactivate Drills, which hides your profile from other users

Program Data Visibility and Ownership

Ownership of golf data depends on how it was generated. You own your personal, non-team data. Team-sanctioned data you generate as a rostered member of a team (team tournaments and qualifying rounds) is owned by that team, including after you leave the program. See the Data Ownership section of our Terms of Service for full detail.

Primary Programs (Teams)

• Team-sanctioned rounds (team tournaments, qualifying rounds) you play while on a team's roster are owned by that team, which retains them after you leave the program by graduation, transfer, or otherwise
• Your primary program (team) has access to its team-sanctioned data for your roster season
• If you transfer teams, each team owns and sees the team-sanctioned data from the season(s) you were on its roster
• After leaving a program, you may retain read-only access to your round history if you maintain an active individual subscription, and you own the new rounds you track under that account
• Your primary program may restrict your ability to share data publicly through Drills
• Team aggregated statistics may be visible to coaches and team members

Secondary Programs (Academies, Collectives)

• Secondary programs have viewing access to your non-team data within their season window
• Secondary programs may receive grants for: (a) team-sanctioned rounds from your primary program for that same season window, if applicable and granted by the primary program, or (b) your historical rounds prior to the season window, with your permission
• You and your primary program control access grants, which can be revoked at any time

If you do not maintain an active subscription, your historical data may be archived.

Children's Privacy

DRVN.Golf accounts may only be created and owned by adults who are of legal age to enter into a binding contract. An adult account holder may, however, track and submit golf data about a golfer of any age, including a minor — for example, a coach or parent tracking a junior or high-school player.

• When data about a minor is submitted, the adult account holder represents that they have the authority to submit that data and is responsible for its accuracy and lawful use
• We do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts, and we do not direct the service to children for independent sign-up
• Data about a minor receives the same privacy protections as data about the account holder, and is subject to the same access, sharing, and deletion controls described in this policy

Data Storage and Security

We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers who help operate our platform, and as required by law.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users, and any other parties as required by law, without undue delay.

International Data Transfers

DRVN.Golf is operated in the United States, and your data is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days
• Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be retained for analytics

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You have the following rights over your personal information:

• You can view and export your data through your account settings
• You can request deletion of your account and data
• You can update your information at any time
• Contact jim@drvn.golf for any data request, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law

U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and comparable laws in states including Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Texas, Virginia, Utah, and Oregon, among others. These rights may include the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to access and delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. DRVN.Golf does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR and comparable laws, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
